Feb 27 Update July 14th Update PP Dear Friends, The Council Study Committee has met twice on it's way toward providing a recommendation to our board. We anticipate that the committee will meet 2-3 more times before achievng a consensus and making a recommendation to our board of directors, which would likely take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. The two meetings of the Council Study Committee, held as of march 15, 2010, have been refreshingly honest, spirited, insightful and productive. Please keep in mind, everyone in this group stongly believes that this group will ultimately be making a recommendation that is in the best interest in the long- term sustainability of Scouting within the Penn's Woods Council territory. What does that mean, simply put it means that the resources exist to serve, support and provide the local Scouting mission to existing membership, with an emphasis on outreach to new members in all communities. The attached documents will help you track the progress of the study committee.
