Requirements and Score Card: Download

All Scouts and leaders of the Penn’s Woods Council are encouraged to purchase ($5.00) and wear the Penn’s Woods Council Centennial Celebration participation patch as pictured above. This will be a 3” round and fully embroidered patch, and will be a “temporary insignia” beginning September of 2009 through December 31, 2010, or until the participation award requirements have been completed. Upon completion the Scout and/or leader will be presented with the Penn’s Woods Council Centennial Celebration participation award. At this point, the participation award, which will be a metallic gold bordered patch like the one pictured above, may be worn in place of the initial participation patch. This recognition will be awarded to deserving Scouts and leaders at no additional charge, upon submission of their completed Centennial Celebration Participation Award Scorecard to the Penn’s Woods Council Service Center.

Each Scout and Scouter who completes the participation award requirements will also be eligible to purchase a Centennial Celebration Participation Award Medal, in addition to receiving the participation award patch. Details, such as cost and ordering procedures on the participation award medal, are not yet available.

Participation Award “Scorecards” to track progress are available on the Penn’s Woods Council web site, www.pwcbsa.org.  A unit leader may manage all of the cards for the group (i.e. collect them all from your Scouts), or instruct each Scout and leader that that they are “on their own” to track their progress and submit their completed participation award scorecard to the Penn’s Woods Council Service Center, to receive their award.
